Has it been that long?

In case you are wondering why I have been posting less and less, the answer is Levi stays still less and less! The other day I was on the computer for twenty minutes and thought to myself - WOW! He is being so good. That was before I noticed the beautiful green crayon scribbles on my wall. SILENCE = TROUBLE!

Levi will be turning 20 months this month! He does a lot of cool things now. He waves bye bye and says hi, follows simple commands, can crawl on the couch or chair by himself usually, opens doors, LOVES to be read to,

can get into kitchen drawers by himself, can go up and down stairs on his belly without supervision, LOVES to throw anything and EVERYTHING away, and has finally outgrown the need to play in the toilet. He has started to run, which is really cute. The very newest thing I have seen him do is walk on his tiptoes! He finally plays with toys, and cars are his favorite! He has recentley been able to stack blocks instead of playing babyzilla and knocking them all down.

Words he can say now: "Bye bye dada, ball, oranges, cheese, mama, down, out, off, outside, shoes, coat, socks, blue, one, two, "ah ah ah" ( like the count from seasame street), sponge Bob (thanks dad!), Elmo, yucky, more, down, milk, juice, yougurt.

Levi also has become quite the toddler terror! When ever mommy does not rush to his every wish, he stomps his feet and screeches. This makes mom laugh and he throws himself to the floor in angsty drama. It tough to be almost two. On the other hand, he is a great friend and is very gentle to other kids. He loves going to stores and pointing out babies to me. One time we were in the grocery store and he pointed at a three year old girl and said baby. I think it was her nap time because she heard him call her a baby and had a screaming melt down about how she was NOT a baby. I felt so bad for the mom!

It has been really cold here so we have been stuck playing inside quite often. Fortunately, the malls here have fun play areas for small children, so we have had things to do! I did take Levi out in his snow suit and set him down on the 3 foot of snow in the front yard, but he screamed bloody murder. Maybe next year we will try snow fun, but he does not like snow yet.

As for Patrick and I, we are actually doing really well. We are going on more dates, we are exercising more, and we are trying to live on a really skimpy budget. All in all, a very good life.

Nothing is Safe!!

That is Bathroom tissue on the ground behind Levi. A whole Double roll to be exact.

My cabinet is a place of joy. He killed a twinkie he found in there today.
Papers and coupons are NEVER safe.

Levi's 16 month check up!

At Levi's latest check up, he weighed 24 lbs., 6 oz., and was 32 inches long. He says the words: momma, dada, cat, puppies ( his favorite book), yeah, up, down, book, more, uh-oh and ball. He is walking 8-15 steps before falling down, and can get up without holding on to anything. He is down to one nap most days, and sleeps really well. He sleeps from 7-8 p.m. to about 5:30-7:00 a.m. He has most of his teeth (just got one this week!), and is just starting table food. He loves cheese, and yogurt! He like pasta, green beans, mandrian oranges, bread, cereal, and he knows what chocolate is now!

If other kids are around he loves playing with them! If mommy leaves while he is playing with other kids- he doesn't even care! He likes dancing, and loves bouncing around with mommy while she's exercising!. His favorite book is called Elmo's world: Puppies. He hates not being in the bathroom while mommy or daddy are in there. He has learned to turn lights off, and can get off of couches and beds. He learned to go down the stairs.

One funny thing about Levi is he carries a baby spoon around everywhere. He will not let it go! He also likes to steal his daddy's toothbrush and carry it around in his mouth! Patrick is so grossed out by this. Levi also loves to drink from my cup. He always leaves the most disgusting floaties in it, so once he gets a drink, it's his cup.

Levi is getting into everything. He is always pulling things out of cabinets. He loves unwrapping toliet paper, and pulling wipes out of containers. He loves baths, loves running away in the middle of diaper changes. He has started blowing bubbles on my skin ( I blame his dad!) and laughs so much! He loves playing peek-a -boo, and eats everything! I have so much trouble trying to figure out if he is full because he will never stop eating! He just keeps putting things in his mouth.

My boys!

Here we are at the Fall Festival! Thank you Levi for opening the doors to Halloween candy to us once again!

Levi's First Pumpkin

Levi loved sticking his hand into our pumpkin(he gets that from me)! We had a great time making our pumpkin this year!

Levi's Halloween!

I've had Levi's costume for two months and I was so excited he would finally get to wear it! After all that waiting, I finally put it on him to go to a friend's party. He was NOT happy! He hated it! The hood with the ears ( the cutest part) was the part he of course hated the most!

Levi is getting so big!

Levi and I were at Nana Trainor's and having some fun. We both have a good time when I crawl over the top of him while he's crawling.

Levi found this dog toy at Nana Trainor's that he LOVED. If I wanted him to lay still so I could change him, stop running towards that stairs, stop biting things, or attacking the dog, I gave him this toy.

Ahhhhh Levi riding his first dog. Classic. Please don't show this to PETA.
