Our Trip to the Zoo

The leopard was really moving around a lot!
Dottie and Levi kept trying to touch the nurse sharks and sting rays.
Levi got to see the sharks eat in the predator tank!
Here we are eating lunch! Yum Yum!

Levi's swimming lesson

Levi had his first swimming lessons last Wednesday. His dad had to take him because the thought of Levi swimming freaks me out.

Babysitting week!

I have been very busy babysitting this week, not that I mind. It has produced some very sweet memories for me. My favorite memory being little Ben and Levi. When one wakes up from nap, usually the other one is up too. On this particular day, they both got up at the same time, and the first thing they did was run into each others arms and hug as if finally the separation was over and they were together again. It was one of the sweetest hings I had ever seen. The honest love two little boys had for each other and the way they ran to each other.

I just got home from watching Les Miserabes with a friend. It was a three hour cry fest. Stupid girl movies.

Levi is the luckiest kid I know!

So I happen to like kids. A lot. I usually can have a pretty great time with kids, so I really enjoy having them around. As it happens, my son ALSO enjoys kids. A LOT. Which means, my son has a mother who is okay with having lots of kids around. Which means his life is AWESOME. Anyways, here are some pictures of the friends he has had over lately and Levi living it up.

All in the Day of the Life of a Three Year Old...

Levi had one of his best buds over to play today. His name is Ben. They spent most of the day hiding in the large box Levi got one of his Christmas presents in.
 Aren't they the cutest?
Here is Levi in the bath with his soap claws. He is so creative and funny!
And here are Levi's awesome new pajamas from his Aunt Cheryl. Isn't he handsome?

Family Home Evening

For Family Home Evening, we reviewed the lesson I taught to Levi in Sunday school and put together the awesome train station gingerbread set Patrick's mom got us. Levi LOVED it. He loved eating the candy, he loved decorating, he loved that it was a train set. It was an Epic win!
Of course there were some spills, but Levi cleaned them up without complaining at all!!
My two favorite people in the whole world!

Levi's new sunbeam class!

In church, I am Levi's new sunbeam teacher. Those kids totally kicked my butt today! They are so squirrely! I know I will get them to straighten out, but the amount of work right now seems overwhelming. They sure are cute though, aren't they?

We are back from vacation! I am trying to form some good, worthwhile goals for this year.
*I do plan to blog more, since I suck at writing in a journal and this is just a more public journal really.
*I do plan to be more organized with Levi;s preschools. That means more reading lessons a day, more reading out loud, and more work on numbers. Everyday but the weekend.
* I do plan to do better at FHE. I want Levi to grow up believing and trusting in his Heavenly Father.
* I want to weigh 130 lbs.Dream big right?
Which leads to:
*Better eating and excerise!

Here is the beginning of 2013 summaries:

Jenny- stay at home mom. I've been doing missionary discussions, working out, recently lost about 9 pounds. Still couponing, but more laid back about it now, and trying to be work on a preschool for Levi. I am the new Sunbeam teacher, and hopefully I can get my new teaching companion involved. I am working my way through the new testament, and hopefully I will be done this year. I am currently reading 1Samuel.

Patrick- Still working for General Mills. Kinda hating it right now, and I am trying to get him to look around. He is the ward clerk, and loves it. He has been pretty interested in photography lately, and has been editing photos lately.

Levi - three and a half! Starting to repeat lots of the stuff I say back to me. Starting to READ! He can read two letters words pretty well, and knows all his letters and sounds. He can count to 25, and can identify those numbers pretty well. He knows colors and shapes, and is VERY social. He loves playing with other kids. He is growing out of 3T clothes, and loves Thomas the Train (especially Diesel 10), Diego, and Dora. He loves being read to, loves watching TV ( he gets maybe 10-30 minutes a day), loves play dates, the children's Museum, Gym day at church, and bouncing at pump it up. He has a sweet, sunny disposition and makes me happy. Lately he can't walk anywhere, it's been run, run, run. He is potty trained, although accidents while sleeping are common, and accidents while awake happen about once a week. He loves eating chipolte rice, peanut butter and jelly, pickles, yougurt, noodles and cheese. He doesn't really like potatoes or french fries.
